The EU General Court has ruled that the relevant public could make a connection between Puma’s marks and those of Doosan Machine Tools because of the former’s reputation. The EUIPO has been ordered to look at the matter again
In a ruling that will give an applicant a fresh chance to have its reputation properly considered, the EU General Court upheld a trade mark appeal today from Germany-based sports brand Puma against the EU Intellectual Property Office.
