Hear reaction to the Oil States and SAS rulings at our PTAB Forums

Michael Loney

Our PTAB Forums in New York on May 3 and Palo Alto on May 8 will include analysis of this week’s two Supreme Court rulings. The forums are free for in-house counsel to attend

PTAB ForumManaging IP is holding  two PTAB Forums in May, in New York and Palo Alto. The events are free to in-house counsel to attend.

The events are very timely given this week’s Oil States and SAS Institute rulings from the US Supreme Court. The Oil States ruling held the IPR process is constitutional, although two justices dissented and the court left IPRs open to due process arguments. The SAS ruling held that the PTAB must review all or none of the challenged claims.

The forums will also cover other topics including: lessons learned and tips for future success; evolving procedural challenges associated with AIA; influences on filings, success rates and identifying what is working well; decoding recent decisions; and examination of the future of the PTAB.

You can find out more information about the Managing IP PTAB Forum  here, and download the brochures for each event below.

The forum is an opportunity to debate the biggest issues that are influencing PTAB proceedings, and to hear from world leaders in corporations, government officials and legal experts on implementing winning strategies to overcome complex issues and the changing AIA landscape.
